Case Studies
TR Pro+® is a hydrogel that can accelerate healing and yield superior skin quality. The novel mechanism of using a beta glucan (Glucoprime®) to modulate the immune response in such a way that it benefits skin healing sets it apart from other aftercare products. Leveraging the body’s ability to control the healing process has benefits for both medical and aesthetic procedures. Some of the recent case studies are included below.
Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing
A split face procedure shows the profound impact of TR Pro+® at 18 hours where the skin is significantly less red and does not have the raised circles from the laser.
Fractional Ablative RF
“By 6 hours there was a huge reduction in sensitivity, itching, swelling and redness in the TR pro+ treated side. I decided to quit my own experiment and apply TR Pro+® to the other side of my face too, quickly getting relief from the itching.”
Skin Needling
The cooling and soothing properties of the hydrogel were apparent straight away. By day 2 she felt that the recovery was far superior to what she had experienced previously.
Skin Needling (Split-Face Treatment)
TR Pro+® was infused during the needling procedure on the right hand side of the face while the other side was untreated. The treated side is clearly less red and according to the client had less pain and irritation.
Morpheus8 (RF skin needling)
In as little as one hour the effects of TR Pro+® were apparent, with less visible redness. The patient reported almost instantaneous cooling and soothing that reduced the pain and tingling compared to prior procedures.
Chemical Peel
At 18 hours, and after the application of TR Pro+®, the skin was significantly less flaky and there was little evidence of the peel procedure the day before. As well as reduced redness and irritation, TR Pro+ was able to significantly shorten the patient downtime without compromising the benefits of the peel.
Tattoo
The client advised that the side without TR Pro+® had more crusting and itchiness while healing and at 1 month post, the other side has more pigment loss where the healing was slower and flaked a little.
Skin Cancer Excision
TR Pro+® can be applied to skin immediately after a medical procedure. The soothing properties of the hydrogel reduce pain and irritation, with the patient less likely to scratch the area.
Hard To Heal Sore (BCC Removal)
Elderly man had a BCC removed from his lower leg. After 5 days the previously infected wound appeared healthy and close to healed.
Lipoma Excision
The TR Pro+® was applied from day 3, three times a day with a clean cotton tip. There was no post heal itching, inflammation or sensitivities.
Eczema
A 2 year old child presented with eczema that was difficult to control, despite having tried many topical products. After treatment with TR Pro+® the flareup resolved with no itching or pain, and complete resolution of lesions.
Interdigital Dermatitis
The TR Pro+® was applied once daily directly to the affected areas and provided immediate soothing and reduced itchiness.
Wounded Skin
After 48 hours, this head wound was noticeably smaller and by 7 days there was virtually no sign of the damaged skin.
ACL Surgery
This was the patients fourth ACL procedure. The patient said that the incision with the TR Pro+® healed the fastest of any prior incision, and had reduced pain and irritation. It allowed them to progress to functional rehabilitation sooner.
Efudix Overdose
Patient accidently used Efudix for three months, and once the mistake was identified, started to apply TR Pro+®. TR Pro+® was used for about for 2.5weeks.
Molluscum Contagiosum
Molluscum contagiosum is caused by a virus and causes small raised sores that are itchy. This young boy developed the sores at 6mo and was unable to relieve them with any cream or ointment. His mother reported that he didn’t cry upon application of TR Pro+® (ie: no stinging or burning sensation) which made it easy to incorporate into his daily routine. It was applied twice a day – morning and night – and within just a couple of weeks the spots started to disappear.

After 5 days without using TR Pro+® this burned skin still appeared red and painful.
Three days of treatment with TR Pro+® cooled and soothed the wound and left the skin looking healthy.
Excoriated Lesions Exacerbated by Chronic Stress and Complex Health Conditions
The patient described the pain of showering as traumatic. After two days of use with TR Pro+® they noticed changes in terms of lesion recovery, reduced sensitivity, dryness and reactivity which triggered episodes of scratching.
